Unfortunately the rain set in early so spoiled our plans to go the Ba Na Hills, maybe next time (the typhoon up north is definitely impacting Da Nang weather). The weather was still looking a bit dodgy so rather than taking a day trip we thought we would wander past the old MMAF down to Marble Mountain to grab a few tourist trinkets. The only thing we have planned for Christmas Day is the beach BBQ in the evening. Had a very quiet day at the pool, then wandering down the road for a few drinks at a beach bar. Went for a stroll along the beach first thing in the morning. Black clouds rolling in over Monkey Mountain, doesn't look good. The plan for the day was to head to Hoi An for our clothes fittings and to try on my boots. By the time we boarded the bus it was ******* down. Get off in Hoi An and don the cheap plastic ponchos.
