Hey all!

We're now back in Zanzibar after traveling around Kenya and Tanzania in tents on safari. It was a brilliant week and a bit but we've had some terrifying moments. We slept out in the Serengeti and were visited in the night by hyenas. It was so scary, they were scratching the side of our tent and we could hear them sniffing all around and even licking their chops! Needless to say we only got two hours sleep that night. But the rest of experience was brilliant. The second night when we camped in Ngorogor crater (sp?) we had a huge elephant wander straight into our camp, it was amazing!

We have been extremely lucky and have managed to see so many animals very close up including; lions (fighting, mating and eating!), elephants, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hippos and of course hyenas!

I'm afraid this will have to be short as once again the internet is painfully slow. Thanks so everyone for all their kind messages and gifts. I am so sorry if we have been unable to thank you personally yet but I promise we will try to do so when we are in Oz. Photos will have to wait until then too, but I warn you I've gone a bit trigger happy!
