On Sunday Thomas was awake at 8 so a bit of a lay in for us. We went in pool and it was cold as was situated in the shade. There were no seats near the pool. After a play in the apartment we then had some lunch and Thomas went sleep for just over an hour until 2. He loved a pipe outside the front of the house and called it a snake every time we ever left the apartment. We left at 2.30 to walk to meet Ami at 3ish. She had booked a restaurant on La Luna which was only about 10 mins walk and on the beach so was good and local. It was very busy, we shared some dishes and it was delicious. We had mixed fried fish, tuna salad, grilled calamari, chips and chicken pasta and ice creams for about €50. Thomas was in his element as he ate non stop for 2 hours. After a lovely catch up with Ami, Agu, Adrian and Arianna we headed home for 5.45 and run around then bed for 7ish. He slept until 6.55 the next day.
On Monday we walked down to the beach and along the sea boardwalk and went to the port. We saw an Irish bar and curry place and a few other places and then went Lidl to get some supplies and dinner. We thought the port would be good for mum and dad to go for a chance in scenery and could drop them later. We picked up pizza for us and bumped into mum and dad on the walk back. We cooked bratwurst for lunch and chilled in the garden when he slept. The only pain we had on holiday were the flies, such a nightmare and wouldn't leave you alone. The other annoying thing was the cats that pooped in the garden! The neighbour told me there were loads of strays and they had more as weren't being neutralised so ran riot. We had to ensure Thomas wouldn't stand in it but he did love seeing the cats when they crossed the garden or sat down for a bit (Thomas would miaow at them). Mum and Dad took Thomas for a walk to get out for a stroll. We dropped the parents for dinner around 5.30 and then went home and had pizza for dinner and dropped the folks to the Irish bar. They were home for 8.15 as they walked back and didn't call us for a lift back.
Tuesday, Richard, Thomas and I went for drive to check our the surrounding areas. We did stop at a beach in Marbella had a run around and he liked the truck on the beach which was flattening it. We got a few nice pictures and he loved running around and the freedom (loves to run away from us) We headed back to Lidl 29 and met Mum and Dad and spent €29. We got some food for a BBQ and some other essentials. We then went to MCD's to get some lunch (Thomas's first one) but my gosh it was so salty! We spent €20 and there was even an annoying fly in there as well. Thomas had his nap and then we spent time in the garden then went to the beach for a run around. A big wave splashed in Thomas's face as took us all by surprise but he didn't seem to fussed. We then went back home to play in the garden. Dad and Richard made the BBQ whilst I tried to control Thomas and keep him from fresh cat poo in the garden. The BBQ was yummy and went down nicely for all. That night Mum and Dad said someone was trying to come in the front door so they waited up to make sure no one got in, I reported it to Maria but nothing was on CCTV so maybe someone drunk went for the wrong door? Who knows.
On Wednesday Thomas was awake around 6 and we walked to the park with Mum and Dad but it was not there so instead we went to the beach and for a walk along the boardwalk to the next stop which had a little beach and bar in. It was getting warmer, the mornings were quite for getting out in the cool but it heated up quickly. We wandered back to our beach and Thomas played in the sand and got all messy and enjoyed Rich bringing water to put in the holes they dug (over and over) and attempt to build sandcastles, although Thomas enjoyed destroying these. After a bit we then walked back, leaving Mum and Dad to enjoy some downtime and obviously for them to head to the shops which they enjoyed so much. We did lunch and he napped whilst we sunbathed. The owner had left a little paddling pool and some bits so we filled it up for him when he woke. He loved the paddling pool for ages splashing around and then spraying us with the hose. We then did the big pool a bit later in the afternoon but it was still cold so that was our last time in there. Mum and Dad took him for a walk so we could get ready for the evening so that was nice and they found the park which was tiny. Later on Mum and Dad made some dinner, salmon and potatoes and Thomas had some with left over meat for his dinner. We then got him bathed and left around 6.50 to head to Ami's. I drove and it was about 35 mins but took a little longer as we got taken a further junction off the road and had to drive around the road. Not sure Rich was that keen on my driving on the other side of the road. Ami for dinner made us tapas which was yummy (especially the prawns and meat croquettes and we ate loads. It was a lovely evening spending some more time with them. We were home for 10 as left them to do some stuff before school the next day and Ami had an assessment. Mum had offered to sleep in with Thomas and get up early but we couldn't do that to them especially when they were enjoying their lie ins.
Thursday morning we walked went to the park which was made up of a see-saw and slide and that was about it in an open wooded area. We then went for a walk to the beach and played in the sea and the boys found me a heart stone which I didn't realise and then I threw it away. Thomas got his clothes ruined so we went home and had pouch for lunch and nap. He still enjoyed a pouch so that was quite handy. Thomas was pretty grumpy all day. Mum and Dad sat with him whilst we went out for lunch. We went to Albertos restaurant on the port side. Mum and Dad had gone there the Monday night and it was nice. Rich had a mixed grill and I had a spicy chicken burger which was tasty and it was full of English people. Some guy came and parked his car right in front of the restaurant. He was quite old and big but was with a younger lady who we assumed was a fancy woman. We were home again by 1.45 and Dad went to meet Mum who was getting her hair done for their next night out. After Thomas woke we played in the garden and he enjoyed the water hose but I accidentally turned it up which wet mums newly styled hair. We laughed about it at least. The folks went off for their night out and we had pasta for dinner, even though I was still quite full from lunch. They were home again for 8ish.
Friday we went again to the park but not for long, then the beach but Thomas was soon getting bored of the beach so it was a quick trip. We then went to Lidl to get lunch in and some breakfast bits for our last day. Thomas was drinking lots of milk on holiday but seemed to go off his breakfast. We had sausage sarnies for lunch which always goes down well with Thomas. Thomas slept only 1.10 as he had pooped and we played in the garden. We then left to head to Marbella around 4 and Ami had made some recommendations. we parked in an underground carpark near the seafront. We headed for La Red but the kitchen was shut until 7 shut so we went next door to La Sombrero for dinner. I had calamari and Rich had octopus and Mum had seabass and Dad had a steak (He enjoyed a few rounds of red meat on holiday) Thomas enjoyed breaded chicken and chips and extras off our plates. It was 90 euros and 6.90 for the car park and 2.80 for Rich's Ice cream. We went for a little walk and took some pictures on the beach and near the boats but we ran out of time for Thomas's bed time after his short nap. We dropped Mum and Dad to the square for another drink. They were home not to late and as we went into the room there was a bloody cockroach. We managed to catch under my glass but then it escaped again so there was a mad search to find it without waking up Thomas. Luckily we did as not sure I would of wanted to sleep in there.
Saturday and it was already our last day. Mum and Dad enjoyed their last lie in of the trip and we went for a last walk and play to the beach and walked on the boardwalk even further then before, getting some pictures. We headed home and had a small lunch as we planned to head back to La Luna for a lunch/dinner before the flight but Mum wasn't bothered about eating anything before the flight. We headed to La Luna and Dad had salmon, Rich sardines and salmon salad and me and Thomas chicken and chips which cost about €55. We headed back and Ami couldn't meet us as Arianna had fallen asleep in the car so we sorted the last few bits and got showered for our trip home. We cleaned up well and headed to get petrol for the car and spent 22 on this. When we got to the airport I managed to check Mum and Dad in with us and we headed for security. Mum had to get cigarettes for Rob and we got a magnet. We got Thomas changed for bed and within about 20 mins he peed on me when I was carrying him so we had another change. On the plane he was pretty good and we had a whole row. After a little while - probably an hour and some food, Thomas passed out on the seat for the rest of the trip. Rich went to get the car and I waited for Mum and Dad. We then had to wait a while for the buggy and then getting through passport control. Rich was back before us so had to wait for us and then Dad drove us home on the rainy night in England. Thomas passed out again and luckily he transferred easily to bed and slept until the morning around 7.30. We had about €330 and came home with around 30 so not bad. It was a lovely week away with the boys and parents and they seemed to enjoy their holiday. It was our last trip before baby so we made the most of it.
