Hi! I did my first bit of solo travelling to get to Athens, Greece! I left Paris in the afternoon yesterday and took a 7 hour relaxing train ride to Milan, Italy. Then I hopped on a night train to Bari, Italy (9.5 hours). I had a sleeping car reserved for this one, so I could try and get a little sleep - otherwise I think I would be a reck...I don't do too well when I'm tired. Wednesday the 7th: Today we woke up a bit late...so we could sleep in. Patrick and Meghan packed up their stuff and left it behind the hostel front desk because they left today at 2:00pm. On Tuesday the 6th we woke up and left to go outside the main city of Paris to Versaille. In this area is a beautiful Versaille Palace Chateu. It is an enormous palace with miles of gardens and a mile-long lake. It was used by the kings and queens of France...and now it on display to the masses...for a kind of small fee. Bonjour! Ok. so to update: on Monday we went to the louvre after having breakfast at the hostel (cereal, croisants, and juice...not much for me...but it does for a lil while). We stayed only for a few hours but I saw all kinds of things...I can't even begin to explain the extensive collections this place holds! It was fun to roam around for a few hours sitting and watching the people, looking at beautiful art that was given to the kings who ruled hundreds...
