We are now in Peru, and it is nothing like I expected, dont really know what I was expecting but as we crossed the border into Peru and the further along the coast we travel the more barren the landscape becomes. It is so different from Ecuador, which hosted a varying landscape from rolling hills, to flat farm lands to craggy mountains, Peru seems more like Egypt as the coast is barren and sandy, with large sand dunes with little or not life at all. Rhiam is happy as she says it reminds her of her homeland Egypt.
And with sand comes sun and it is blisteringly hot here, so thankfully we are camping on the beach so can cool down in the sea. But when we got there we were all a little horrified as the beach was nice enough, but the allotted area they assigned for us to set up our tents was so small and as the tide come in really far we were all a bit weary that we would be swept to sea in the mid of the night and wake up adrift far out in the ocean. So we set up our tents almost ontop of each other and hit the beach to relax and cold down in the sea. But unknow to us the sea had extremely powerful waves that pounded over you pulling you under and the strong undercurrent made you feel like you were in a washing machine so it wasnt as relaxing as we had hoped it to be, but we still enjoyed ourselfs, sunbathing, and playing in the sand and doing drinking games in the night.
So all in all it was a good few days relaxing on the beach and getting to know each other. And luckily enough all 12 of us get on really well, even though we are 12 completely varied characters and there are some really strong personalities in the group we really do get on really well and have such a laugh together, I couldnt ask for a better group, though a few hotties would have been nice but you cant get everything, aye!!!
