We travelled deep into the desert to visited the Chauchilla cemetery which is made up of a number of open graves with all of the remains on display, which is really erry and feels wrong. A real tourist trap. Then we travelled along the coast and camped on the beach at Puerto Inca. The beach was nice enough but the sea was too strong to swim in as there was a strong undercurent that sucks you under and pelts you with pebals, so I stayed out of the sea and played in the kiddies play area most of the day, having a real laugh, you have to let the child in you play sometime. As there is little to do here as it is set in the middle of nowhere, we spent most of the day enjoying cold beers on the beach and around the pool, and was having and great time until we started playing the notorious drinking game, the 'dice' game. All beware of the 'dice' game as it takes no prisoners. Its a simple enough games with two dices and depending on what numbers you roll depends on if you drink and what you drink and how much you drink. The simplicity of it makes it so deadly. We started on the vodka, then whisky, then rum and I cant remember anything after that. Woke up the next morning with the hangover from hell and spent the rest of the day in the toilet as Id given myself alcohol poisioning. So Ive made a firm resolution to stay away from alcohol for a few week, at least till the Inca trail, give my liver a bit of time to recover..... like ive never said that before....
