Today was our last day in Milan, it was kind of bitter sweet because in my opinion we should of made the Milan part of the trip longer (after all it is the fashion capital of Italy and yet it seemed as if we didn't really get to see that much of the Italian fashion). We started out the day by splitting into two seperate groups; one that visited the fashion stores while the other visited the interior design stores. Those of us that visited the fashion stores went to a place called 10 Corso Como which is a famous place that is owned by the sister of the Italian Vogue editor. It was really interesting to visit this showroom and see all of the things that inspire the italian fashion magazines. While we were looking around the store I noticed some brands that are seen in the states and we found out that these companies make these products in the store especially for this location. It was really cool to get to see these products that you couldn't find anywhere else in the world. While we were walking around the showroom of this place we spotted the Italian Vogue editor walking through the store and we all got really excited and attempted to follow her to get her picture but that was harder than we thought because we didn't want to make things really obvious as to what we were really doing. Once we left that place we wennt to an amazing hotel called the Moshino Hotel that has fairytale inspired rooms (Alice N' Wonderland, Little Red Riddinghood, etc.) - everything was so cute- the lamps were made out of dressforms and even their dinnig room was fashion imspired (look at the FB photos if you wish to see what im talking about). Once we were done with our visits we headed back to the hotel to grab our luggage and then hit the road for our dreaded 8 hour drive back to Ariccia. If only we had taken the train...
