After a big night in Italy we were very much looking forward to chilling out in Austria - and what a place to relax! A last minute burst of energy prompted me to undertake a mountain bike ride around the town on the morning after we arrived and I was very glad I did. It was a beautiful place to explore (although other than adventure sports Tyrol doesn't really have that much happening). Much to my disgust we spent the two nights there drinking at an 'Aussie Pub' (what the hell is an Aussie Pub anyway? Aren't all out pubs Irish?!). To redeem ourselves we did have dinner on the second night at the top of one of the mountains (involving a gondola ride there and back..ahh the view). The meal and night was one of my highlights I'd have to say. Having said that, we had well and truly realised by this stage that pork is the meat of choice in Europe - it seemed to be the only meat we ate for 3 weeks! Someone give me some beef!
