After some well earned sleep and plenty of aircon we decided that the best way to visit the charmingly sleazy island of Phuket would be to hire a scooter to tour the best spots.
It was promptly decided that sai would be in charge of the bartering as I ended up offering our taxi driver more than his original offer....however I was able to totally redeem myself by chauffeuring her around the island on our little bike.

First stop was the ancient (not sure if that's correct) temple of Wat Chalong. Ill prepared we attempted to enter this beautiful Buddhist temple without the correct attire (Sai's little vest top and mini skirt). After numerous cheesy Buddha high five photos and touching things we shouldn't we decided that we were cultured out and headed for the beach.

Phuket is a bizarre place with some of the most beautiful beaches overrun with local sales men (and women of the night). Putting this aside we found a lovely spot in the south west called Kata known for occasional swell. Thrilled with this I strongly suggested this beach and as I was driving she wouldn't have known either way where we were. Unfortunately for me it wasn't meant to be and I settled for a trusty skimboard and Sai took to looking beautiful on her sun lounger....
