Left the city day after yesterday, and are staying at a B&B about 30 miles north of Melbourne. The train journey was short, about 40 minutes, and the landscape surprisingly flat. However, the house we're staying at is on top of a large hill, and off in the distance, we can see the Melbourne skyline...it's really beautiful especially at night.

Best of all, are the kangaroos...they wander all around here and everyday we see at least a couple in/around the property we're staying at. Today, there were 5 just outside the front door on the far side of the driveway. They're beautiful animals and seem to wander in family groups. Whenever they see us, they stand up straight and just look at us curiously. Then...they hop off slowly. If we speak loudly, though...or move suddenly...they hop off quickly.
