Made the journey from Halong Bay back to Hanoi. 2 whole nights in one hotel, yay!

Hanoi is quite intimidating and busy, everyone else didn't like it but I thought it was ok. We had a few nice meals in authentic Vietnamese restaurants that were obviously recommended by lonely planet as there were lots of Westerners sat with their guide books.

We were going to do the water puppet show but other people had been to get tickets and it seemed they were running out so didn't bother. Reports from others suggest we didn't miss much.

Starting to wonder why some people came to Asia..... What did they expect?!

Had the goodbye meal with people on the tour who are not coming to Laos. Sad to see members of our big family leave.
