We only had a day in Singapore but it seemed like a really cool city, immaculately clean and full of shops - my kind of place!

From there it was onto Bali to stay in Benoa where we had two weeks with Fred's family. We all had a really lovely time exploring the island, coupled with lots of eating, drinking, laughing (thanks to Saj) and endless rounds of the shop game and i-spy in the car (thanks to me - wish i'd never suggested it!!). Bali was an incredibly beautiful place, it is certainly touristy in places but still has a lot of charm and great people too.

Chris and Charlotte came at the end of our time there from Malaysia and we left Bali with tearful goodbyes (from me and Krisa!) and went onto Northern Sulawesi.
