Have been on the island now for a couple of days and it is so peaceful. We're making the most of it as according to others who have been to the north the rest of india wont be so relaxed! The homestay is located just on the water so there is plenty to do here. as food is inclided we have had some interesting breakfasts - rice noodles, banana fritters and lots of cury - which Ive skipped for a couple of days!At the homestay we were able to explore the backwaters...

We finished off our time in fort kochi by exploring the other side of the town where there were a couple more churches (a little more impressive than the dutch palace). After a mistake of a breakfast (it was filthy) we walked back via the jettty where many men were fishing.
