Right.... Nice cafe au lait! Plane journey! I sat on the plane thinking how sad it was to be leaving south america, but the i got sat between 3 spanish speaking girls who did my head in for about 13 and a half hrs...which was the length of the journey! This was a good flight though - with my own TV remote (incase you couldnt reach you hard the 5cm infront of your face the the touch screen tv) which could also be used a phone (very expensive) i was well chuffed. There was a good range of programs to watch inc Bewiched-that i had wanted to see when i was working in Brazil! However due to bad turbulance it got swiched off and i miss the last 5 mins no prob the though i sepnt 10mins fast forewardsing through to see the rubbish 5 mins that i missed! (Nicole kidman-iom disapointed which you!) Also again no vegi meals so ended up having salmon for the 2nd time that day! Salmon and potatoes very odd meal to be given when your just about to go to sleep! I was woken after a short time by cramp in my thigh, do you now how hard it is to streach of you leg in a very confined space, and when you have people sleeping more or less on you! However i did enjoy the CD channel i listen to love songs by Phil Collins which reminded me of of Sarah and then i listened to the best of the 80s which brought back loads of memories of going out in town, drives with Corin and and dancing with mum at parties. Started to worry about being homesick with being in an english speaking county especially over xmas as i had managed to not get very homesick so far! Was a little sad when i got on the plane and to make things worst they stared playing Baker street- which was one of the songs plyed on the ship when i was on with my mum and dad . I remember sitting in the show lounge watching John Bell playing the sax singing that sat betweeen my mum and Conna and opposite em and my dad! Really cool memory though! I also listened to Video killed the radion store -which Corin played the first time he took me liz dave and gav out in his car and almost killed us. Dave reading huge map that he spread over me and liz in the back. Funny times guys! Nice to have remineders but pref not on a 13 and a half hr plane journy sat between 3 people who dnt speak a word of englsih. Could feel myself swelling up like a balloon whilke i was sitting there, thinking how attractive i would look when Rod (who i am staying with in NZ) came to pick me up! When the plane finally landed after watching Friends bewiched batman and csi Miami i was very releaved and hoped my bag was here! There it was Blue rut sac heading my was when this dog sniffs round me and sat next to me so i look at the dog and the dog looks at me and then this voice says can you empty you pockets please! I turn round to see a lady security person standing loking at me so obviously i oblige and i turns out the dog had smelt my mint flavoured lip balm which was in my pocket! Everything was ok and i offered some to the lady, she didnt use any and walked off, great that was my first run in the a KIWI! I got my bag and went out side and waited for Rod, exciting and nervous i had no idea what he looked like! He was there after about 20 mins and we got in the car and came home! 2hrs drive to Wangarai! They have the most beautiful house over lokeing fields and a exstinct volcano its just amazing! I was showed to my room which nice big french doors onto the deck and a lovely double bed! I have now been here for almost 2 wks Rod has taken me to all the bays and im of to KERIKERI sometime next week. I have booked a horse trek and am going swimming with the dolphines! Beautiful! There family is lovely they have have 2 duaghters and one son Helen and her partner Adam, Heather and her partner Wayne and Neal and his partner Tammy. They are all great and really looking after me and taking me out! I have been to the pics to see Nania (really really good!) and have fanlly had my hair cut! They have also given me the loan of their cars a 4by4 or a automatic oh my god help! Was xmas yesterday but will bore you with the tales of that another day! Merry Christmas ll and have a brill new year! Im off to the Bay of Islands camping for 3 days over new year - sounds good hey! Thanx for the presents that were sent out here and the cards!
