Arrived into Lima at midnight and went straight to the Point Hostel in Barranco suburb where we had a reservation. We had been recommended it by other travellers and it was a similar chain to the Loki hostel we stayed at in Cusco.
We were shown around the hostel and to our dorm which was appropriately named little england! We went straight to bed as were so tired. The next morning we walked along the coastline to Miraflores which is next to Barranco and has lots of shops. Beth had a few things she wanted to buy as she had decided to stay on another 2 months rather than flying back with Sarah and I. Very jelous!
After getting everything we needed we had lunch and then headed back to our hostel. Sarah wanted to walk along the beach so we followed the road which we thought would lead us to it but it didnt and we ended up walking back along a dual carriage way with not much of a pavement to walk along! When we eventually got back to the hostel Sarah and I packed up our bags. We then spent a while playing table tennis and pool, both of which im rubbish at, but it was fun!
We then went out to a lovely restuarant called La Bodega which we had picked out in advance for our final meal together. The food there was great and I had a lovely steak, best since Argentina! They had paper as table cloths and they gave us a pot of crayons to draw with so we spent most of the evening reminiscing on the best bits of our trip!
After a lovely meal we headed back to the hostel and went to the bar for some more drinks. We got chatting to a couple of guys and ended up going out to a bar with them and others from the hostel. We were conscous of our early start the next day but I was keen to enjoy my last night so we ended staying out until about 3am.
The next morning Sarah and I said bye to Beth and headed off to the airport for our flight home. The long haul flight feeling hungover was not the best especially as it signified the end of my trip!
