Date: 17th June 2011
Place: Jungle Beach
Weather: cloudy
Today we had planned on doing the walk to the waterfall but Carm had been ill all night and had hardly slept. It had been majorly windy that night and I think it messed us both up a bit. I had been sleepwalking and thought I was trapped in a pitch black room so was hitting the wall of the cabin until Carm woke me up. I panicked like mad and my heart was pounding. Obviously Carm had been effected worse; it probably wasn't the wind effecting her though. She had felt feverish which was worrying because that's what happens when you get Dengue fever but she didn't have a rash thankfully so she didn't go to the doctors.
After breakfast Carm went to bed and I went to see if anyone was on the beach. It was a bit cloudy so I think everyone was doing other things, so I slumped myself in the hammock for pretty much the whole day just doing nothing. The highlight of my day was seeing a big lizard run past me so I followed it until it went into the shack and then I lost it. I was convinced it was going to come out of my bag the next time I went in it.
This was out last day in Jungle Beach because we couldn't afford it anymore. Once dinner was finished we got a lift to the highway with a couple who had been staying there too. We had to wait a while at a petrol station but we were entertained by the cutest puppy ever! Then the bus showed up and there were no beds left! Thankfully the driver moved a few Vietnamese people who maybe just hadn't paid for a bed so we all got a place. I slept straight through which is a first for sleeper buses!
