Weather: absolutely boiling and gorgeous again J

Well after going to bed super early last night I still slept in until 11.30. We had decided today to head down the pool which was free to use in the sister hostel to ours, and we met Vanessa, another girl on our tour, before heading down to it. It was gorgeous; we sat on a little shaded deck area which had cushion seats and little tables. We stayed there for a few hours, just relaxing and having a bit of a read and swim.

For the rest of the day we just had a wonder around the markets. I looked for some Doxycylcline in the pharmacys and found some for 336baht which is like £11 compared to the £20 I would spend at home, so saved £10 there…which over here isa lot of money!

To add to the surprise of yesterday bumping into a guy from school, today I bumped into a guy from college, Michael Duckworth! Seriously thought I would be getting away from everyone by coming here not seeing more of them!! I couldn't believe it when I saw him trying to sell a book to a Thai man at a market book stall. We had a bit of a chat and turns out he is leaving Thailand tomorrow morning to go to India so we said, oh ill probably see you there! Not that I have any plans in going to India…

Later on we went back to the guesthouse where I went up to get a shower and ready for the evening. I came down later with Amie to meet some more people from our group. There was Neils, Simon, Carmen and Emma. I have spoken to all of them except Neils online before so it was nice to put a face to the name. We all had a drink at the bar before heading out for a meal and a couple of drinks down kho san road. We ended up at a bar that Andrea had heard about and had a few drinks and a shisha (I don't know how to spell it) whilst listening to a live band which I couldn't believe was Thai as he sounded so English whilst he sang.

The first night out with most of the group was great and we all get along really well. I have a feeling that this week is going to be absolutely amazing….
