Date: 26th April 2011
Place: Koh Phangan
Weather: hot and sunny
Today was another chill out day to recover. When we got up I decided to go to a clinic down the road to have my leg cleaned and redressed as the one the woman had done the day before wasn't staying on. It was a good job I did because it needed a good clean and was the most painful 1000Baht I have ever spent. I almost threw up. She bandaged it up for me and told me to come back tomorrow and make sure I keep having it cleaned even when Ive left Koh Phangan.
When I got back I got a banana shake for a sugar boost to help with the faintness. Everyone was sat around or in the pool so I went and joined them for a bit. Purely because I couldn't I wanted to go in the pool so badly! I sat on the edge with one leg in and it was quite funny because the guys in the pool gradually moved away without realising it, until I pointed it out.
It was basically a pool day all day apart from a little walk with Andrea so that she could buy some bits and bobs. That night we decided to go out though since it was the last night on Koh Phangan. We stayed in the hotel for a bit and had dinner there and then head down to the beach again for some more fire skipping and table dancing.
I managed to dance after a couple of pain killers and went on for a good few hours but when the foam came out everybody went in it. That's when the situation started to get to me a little bit but I decided I didn't want it to so danced some more! Still I left fairly early because I was shattered from the night before and knew I had an early start the next day when we were leaving Koh Phangan.

Gran Very wise to go to the clinic, painful though it was (to your purse as well as your leg). Was surprised there was a clinic so handy to where you were staying. It sounds much more civilised than I'd imagined! Glad to see you were determined not to let the injury get you down TOO much, but being sensible about it too.
