We had to get up early again today! I just want a lie in for once! Laura caught her bus to Cape Tribulation so we had to say goodbye. Im thinking I may go to visit her next year after I go to the Netherlands to see the guys.
I got my bus to the airport and then had to sit there for ages doing nothing, I think I went a little too early! I happened to bump into Sianne though who was just coming out of the toilets when I was going in. She was on her way home to surprise her friend at her wedding.
The plane I was on was pretty empty so I had a seat between me and another lady. I got the window seat as well so all I was thinking as we got higher and higher was 'I could jump out from here!'. Of course I would need a parachute though. Qantas really look after you because I was only a cheap flight but still got a free drink with some pretzel snacks and then a sandwich with cookies, an apple and coffee. I've flown on a really short flight with them before and they gave me a chocolate ice cream lolly thing.
I felt a bit lost without my ipod but I just used my laptop with some newly bought headphones that I got at the airport. When we landed it was really easy because I didn't have to go through passport control or anything. The hostel shuttle bus was waiting for me and then it was just 15 minutes into the centre.
A girl called Amy had got the same shuttle to the hostel and was in my room so we went on a walk to explore the city and see what it was actually like because I really didn't know what to expect. We spent most of our time in Woolworths looking at what we could get for dinner because there were so many good offers on! We then head up to Anzac Hill where we watched the sunset over the MacDonnell Ranges.

Gran How old were the cabin attendants on your Qantas flght? We thought all the oldies must be used on their domestic flights! What happened to your iPod? Lovely to be able to visualise you on Anzac Hill.
