Lucy's Travels
Hola, so here I am on my second day in Seville. We arrived here at 10am yesterday morning and we were both very tired having to leave for the airport at 1.30am.
We started our journey on a coach load of 25 men heading to Spain on a stag do, they were quieter then Lucy and myself!
Arriving in Seville the heat hit us straight away. We got to our accommodation where the taxi driver ripped us off but would not let us banter. Feeling slightly subdued we head into our accommodation and are impressed with what we have even though it was so cheap. We are staying at a place called Apartments Patio De La Alameda for the first couple of nights.
We settle into our room and promptly head out to explore. Without the use of a map and 5 minutes walk later we find ourselves in the town centre surrounded by H&M, Mango & Zara...I can't believe I managed to stop myself from spending but know I need to be careful with my money.
We walk around the centre, all the streets look the same and we manage to get lost even thuoght the streets run parrellel to each other... We decide to get some food and head to a local cafe. I order Spinach and chickpeas - Must be the heat! However when the dish comes it looks as digusting as it tasted. I was almost sick but manged to eat half washing it down with a cool glass of red wine! Ah vino!! My main meal of mixed pan fried fish more than made up for the digusting starter!
We head out into the sunshine again and back to our apartments to freshen up before going out in the evening. We get back about 3.30 and go to sleep, waking up at about 7pm! We get showered and changed and head out to find some nightlife... 5 hours later and we still hadn't found any. Seville does not have many, if any, English tourists! It seems Lucy and I are the only ones...We have been looking at people on the street and those with a tan we'll assume are English...but they never are!
Its difficult to communicate as hardly anyone seems to speak English, but we are getting by with hand gestures, my spanish phrases from the net and making up words!! We have actually picked up a little Spanish and im impressed! However, it is a shame we can't properly sunbathe or communicate very well... So we're going to head up to Seville in the next day or so... We want a beach or a swimming pool and start on the tan!
We're off now to try and find an English bar which we have just seen on the net...Here's hoping!!
