We spent 4 nights in Surfer's Paradise. We stayed at Surfer's Paradise Backpackers and it was a nice enough place. The first evening we arrived we were told about the biggest bar crawl and thought we'd better do that! Josie was also at the same hostel!! So she came with us. We headed to Brisbane and stayed with Luca (From Fraser Island). Josie was also staying there. We had a thai takeaway the first evening as we were all tired from a night drinking in Rainbow Beach. The ext day Caroline and I headed to the city and shopped! It was Australia Day so it was very busy. Am still backdating!! After Airlie Beach we had a 16 hour bus journey down to Rainbow Beach. The time actually went quite quickly but I didnt sleep much. On one of our food stops the bus driver took us to the most disgusting place...There were loads of beetles on the doorstep and loads of flies. It's been a while since I have last updated this so will try and backdate a bit! We sailed the Whitsunday's which was just out of this world - Some of things we saw were breath-taking. Our boat was called Habibi and there were about 24 of us. The first day we were told that there would be no getting in the water as by the time we reached our first stop it would be too late. Hi everyone, here's my latest update...We left Cairns on the bus on Monday and went to Mission Beach. It was lovely there I was the only one sunbathing on the beach! Caroline did a sky dive (After my bungy jump I was too chicken!) but I she landed right next to me on the beach! I'm even on her video - A little dot but i'm there! We were only there for the one night which was lucky as there was nothing to do - No bars or clubs or shopping malls! At 9am...
