Happy Christmas to everyone. Today I have been body boarding on Bondi Beach! We spent an hour and a half being thrown around by the waves... It was so much fun but am already aching!! Swallowed soooooo much sea water I felt sick! After that we sunbathed for a couple of hours before eating at a restaurant and I also had a glass of red wine!
On Friday we played drinking games in the lounge room for Kenny's Birthday, there were about 20 of us in total but 2 seperate groups. We headed down to Sidebar where I proceeded to shoot Sambuca, Tequila and Tobasco!!! And yes it is as wrong as it sounds! But was a very enjoyable night I'm having so much fun with my new friends.
On Saturday it was raining so I spent most of it suffering in bed!! In the evening the lads taught me how to play poker and I beat them both! I can't wait to get home and play poker!!! We are going to the Casino on Friday - But don't worry parents I'm not gambling just watching!!!
Yesterday (Christmas Eve) I spent running around Sydney trying to find a jacket (YEs it was raining again!) I also had to develop photo's as memory card is full up! Everywhere was packed with people and I kept slipping on the wet floor so couldnt even walk that fast!
In the evening Tony, Gaz, Jo, Rooney, Al, Will, Nick (Our new housemate) and I got a taxi down to Cargo bar at the Darling Harbour. We had a drink together before the boat arrived. It was the Route 69 boat cruise!! I wore a short denim skirt and a top with the logo "Dear Santa, I've been very very bad!!" There were 6 boats in total and they slowly started to arrive and everyone began to queue...The Harbour was heaving, full of people amazing to see really. We luckily were some of the first ones on the boat. We headed first for a free beer (Toohey's) and then for our roast which consisted of Chicken, coleslaw and bread rolls!! Lovely!! After 15minutes of people getting on the boat we started our cruise.
We went all over Sydney, to the Sydney Harbour Bridge where we could see the city. The views were spectacular, even in the rain! The Christmas song's played, people danced into the night and before we knew it we had to get off! Some were more drunk then others (Myself not included - Honest!) So a couple of us headed to Scruffy Murphy's. Only for a couple of beers and then headed back to the hostel.
So that is my Christmas in Sydney - The sun amazingly appeared today which we weren't sure was going to happen. The rest of the week is supposed to be nice - I am going to the Blue Mountains before I leave here on Tuesday. I've met some great people here though, going to be weird not having the group when I go up the coast!
