I went to the Sky Tower on Friday, I had a ticket which I got when I went to the Wildlife Centre, so it was cheaper to buy 2. I went with Caroline and we queued so many times before we managed to get in the lift, which they filled with people you couldn't move. My nose was so close to someone's armpit I was happy they didn't smell!
Once up to the top we walked out and the view was unreal...You could see all of Sydney and New South Wales. We had a walk around the top, looking through the binoculars and taking endless photo's. I do get so camera happy sometimes but better to take too many than too little! We spent about half an hour in the gift shop and then headed to shop for real! We shopped for about 4 hours but then I had to head to work.
Kristen was admitted to hospital to have her appendix out. Sarah (our housemate) and I went to visit her on Saturday. Sarah's friend had a scooter which he let Sarah borrow...Still a bit scared of these things due to my accident in Thailand I was not impressed! But we had to get to the hospital so I jumped on the back. Eventually I eased up and enjoyed the ride, even though it was only about 15/20 minutes away! We saw Kristen who was still a bit queasy from the drugs but recovering slowly. Sarah and I headed back, with a detour through Alexandria and Kensington. I saw the stadium where Robbie is playing at in December and where all the major concerts are held. I also saw the cricket ground. We grabbed a pizza hut take-away and then headed home to eat it..I had to hold the pizza as we didnt have any room to store it on the bike!
Kristen is now out of hospital but is in a bit of pain still and finding it hard to walk, although it's great having her back was nice having the room to myself for a bit! Working 9 days in a row but the money is really good I feel rich! Asking for less shifts next week though as i'm sooooooo tired, plus I need a night out myself every once in a while.
Meeting up with Lisa, a girl I met in Rarotonga at the end of the week as she is coming to Sydney. She is also here for New Year so there's gonna be quite a few of us now. Not long to go, time seems to be going quite quickly - Cant believe its almost November.
