Lucy's Travels
We decided to leave Mango Bay and head to an island. Brett, the owner of Mango recommened Nananu Island Lodge. The island Nananu was north of Fiji so we had to leave Mango Bay at about 10.30, caught there shuttle bus to Nadi which took a couple of hours. We then caught a local bus to Lauoka which took 45 minutes only to change buses to go to Raki Raki. That journey took just over 2 hours 15minutes. We had travelled a full 180 degrees around the island. Our boat was at 5.30 and the 15 minutes journey was cold and wet! Being Fiji time we didn't actually leave until after 6 so it was getting dark and we couldn't see a thing when we arrived on the island!
We have been snorkelling today - A boat took us to some reef in the middle of the ocean, some people dived others snorkelled. The fish were absolutely amazing, all different sizes and the colour of the coral was just as good. It was definitely the best time I have been snorkelling. It is pretty quiet here although last night we were kept awake by two rats in our room!! Lovely! They only want food though so were moving all the food out tonight and hoping they disappear...
We have 6 days left in Fiji and although it is a lovely island it is not as beautiful as I thought - Well compared to Moorea and Rarotonga - but am still enjoying myself 110% I have nothing to complain about....Except maybe the amount of Mosquito bites I have!
