I moved to Texas about 4 weeks ago now to intern with the Mammal Department at the Caldwell Zoo, and have recently decided that it's time for me to start sharing my travel experiences. So, I've decided to start with a little trip myself and the veterinary intern, Rachael, took to the Fort Worth Zoo.

Since I am a complete bio-nerd and crazy about animals, it was fantastic to spend 5 hours running around this zoo! The animals and exhibits were wonderful, and I'm pretty sure the World of Primates (or WOP as it is apparently referred to as) exhibits were phenomenal. Seriously some of the most amazing exhibits I've ever seen. I've included a photo of one of the Silverback Gorillas who was happily observing the small crowds from his exhibit.
