Hey everyone. so last time i left u i was in bangkok. well the journey from here to ko tao was a long one. was told that after leaving at 6pm on a bus that i would get to ko tao at 9am the next morning. 5 buses and 2 boats later i finally arrive having stopped off at every island possible on the way! at 4pm!! grrrr. so i was only left with 2 days to spend in the beautiful ko tao. now this was efinately not enough. there was sooo much i wanted to do there so as it turns out iv decided to extend my thail;and visa by an extra week and go back there tomorro.
while i was here i met up with some of emmas friends who are training to be divemasters here so they took care of me as they have been living there for months. i went on a boat to a lovely little island off the coast where you can walk on sand banks between 3 islands. it was brilliant fun and got some amaaazin views and pictures. was just the most beautiful view i have ever seen.
also while i was here i took up thai boxing and have since become a little bit hooked. i love it. u get an hour to 2 hours with a personal trainer who you fight and it only costs 6 pounds! why arent personal trainers that cheap at home??? lol. have had 3 sessions now and am definately gonna do some more when i get bac there tomorro.
after this i moved onto ko phangnan which was interesting. the place i stayed - phreuksa beach resort was in the middle of no where was really pretty and chilled out. the first 2 days the sun was shining and it was lovely. then it rained and raind and rained! i think u guys sent some of that horrible english weather my way. now when it rains here there is nothing to do cant really sunbathe or swim in the beautiful pool that i treated my self too.
nut you know me i made the most of the days. went on a 4 hour hike one day to find a waterfall. did some more thai boxing. hired a moped - that was funny! and went around the island going the speed of a snail!! i was fine goin in straight lines but i didnt no how to trurn the bike on so every time i stopped somewhere i had to ask a random guy walking past if he could turn the bike around and start it for me so it was ready to go!! ha ha. quite funny! I also went to see some real thai boxing fights which was eye opening.
then you cant come to ko phangnan without doing the nightlife. this place is crazy!! the beach parties in had rin (a 2 pound taxi ride away) were on every night and similar to phi phi but on a larger scheme. millions of people everywhere. but it was the poool party at coral bungalows that took my breath away. i didnt think those things actually existed. the parties u see on american pie and those other similar films. everybody walking around in swim wear. pushing each other in a pool battling each other on shoulders about 400 people in a tiny pool with no room to move and buckets of alcohol. it really was a fab night out. :-)
then last night went to the world famous full moon party. which was good managed to last until 6.30am which in comparrison to some of my friends was pretty lame but then when uv been out every night for the last 4 in a row. its pretty hard on my old body! my friend got in this mornign at 11.30am!! ha ha. although the pool party was definately the best night out here. was a good experience to see soooo many people on the beach drinking buckets adnd dancing.
so that brings me up to date i think. so tomorro im goin to try and sort my visa out and then next week im flying onto malaysia. keep ur fingers crossed that the immigration office are nice to me tomorro iv been told that they pickl and choose what they do and make the rules up as they go along.
love to all. xxxx
