Hey, i arrived in bangkok on friday afternoon after an 11 hour flight. then i waited at the airport for 4 hours before getting on another flight down to phuket. when i got to phuket it was 10pm so it was dark!!! ahhhh!! i found out that i had missed the last bus to the town by 5 minutesand had to pay about 10 pounds for a taxi (which is quite a lot in thailand). anyway got to the hostel phuket backpackers and found i was staying in a dorm room of 9 other guys and me. I stayed here 2 nights and didnt get much sleep on either of them with people coming in until all hours and the fear of gettin the dreaded bed bugs (finger crossed i have managed to keep them away soo far!).

Phuket town was intersting i went for a walk on sat morn to try and discover the place. didnt get very far tho, wasnt a fan of cities and it was really smokey and horrible so i jumped on a bus and headed for the nearest beach!! lol. trust me. Patong beach was an experience nothing special. i wondered where all the amazin postcard picturs of thailand were cause they are definately not in phuket! but i got a sunbed as it ws scorchio and then had lunch bought to my sunbed, the little man went around and swept all the sand of the sun bed and ur feet every like 10 miute. i felt like a princess! lol apart from that i wasnt a big fan. By this point i still hadnt really spoken to any one and anyone that i had had thought i was crazy for travellin by my self. hadnt found any english though!

The next day was sunday and i decided to book on the early morning boat over to phi phi. now when i arrived here. it was paradise. sooo pretty typical beach that you would expect from thailand and very lively. full of internationals - just what i need. even on the wal;k to the guest room i managed to get chattin to a fair few people.. which is great cause u just keep bumping into them again!

i spent the day with an aussie guy who was in my hostel in phuket ironically. we went to the beach for a bit but it was soooo hot so we decided to take some trek up the tsunami evactuation route. 3 hours laterthrough the jungle (lots of sweat!) and some amnazin views we eneded up on a tiny beach on the other side of the island. we watched the sand crabs - strange scary speedy creatures for a bit and then headed back.
I had some thai food for dinner tonight and it ws lovely!!! yey.
Today i have a boat trip planned where i can go snorkling and kayaking and i will also go to a beach with baby monkeys on it! cant wait!!! sounds like my ideal afternoon. Im also hoping to visit the beach where the film 'the beach' was filmed later on this week so that will be pretty cool too.

p.s. i have managed to not buy any clothes yet but we will see how long that lasts the shops here are soo cheap and the clothes they sell are beautiful!!.lol mum expect a package home at some point!! lol.
