Our last day with the Mustang, so we made the most of it and a sunny, but cool, day to cruise down to Santa Monica pier. We had the best English breakfast in this really cool English pub there (only place open besides Maccas) where the hype was building for the royal wedding and we watched Chelsea v West Ham with a bunch of English tourists!!! Lots of fun, and they even had a shop where we were able to buy some choccie Cadbury Easter eggs...all the others I have seen are disgusting sugar candy eggs!!! kids happy!! We spent the morning at the SM pier and did some shopping and then headed down to Venice Beach...had a Cold Stone ice-cream and enjoyed the beach for a bit. Then we had to say goodbye to Mr Mustang (very sad) ...now back at our hotel (owned by an Australian we found out yesterday after enquiring as to why there are Aussie flags flying everywhere...apparently 80% Australian occupancy which I didn't know when we booked ) sitting by the pool while the kids have a swim. This is a great location...on Santa Monica Bld..where we will eat tonight-and we just walked up to Sunset Bld for dinner last night and had a lovely meal at Cravings, sitting on the Strip with Andrew car spotting!
Tomorrow is the big tourist bus trip adventure...all the hits - Staples centre, Hollywood sign, stars homes, Kodak centre, Chinese theatre...etc etc
