apocalyptic! We arrived at the hostel and we were not entirely loving it. The army policing the area did not sell the place. Hey ho we were on the site of the winter Olympics and a shopping centre so all can't be that bad,,,surely. Party...... Will blog once remembered! So upon arrival in Rimini we check into the youth hostel and straight away we picked up the party vibe. We headed to the beach and duly picked a number and section of beach to sit on/in. Strangly there were dogs and dog hotels everywhere and the beaches had areas for dogs too.... Not many english people here. Around 4pm the beach became deserted and we as all good Brits do stayed as there are hours of sun left yet to top ...

So today was an early start to head towards our stop over destination on the way to Rimini. Now we chose the town of Ascoli Piceno purely because it was at the half way point on the journey, the hostel looked ok and it was a town in bold on the road map....... Upon arrival 'Stella' Sat Nav tried driving us through a church to get to our destination so we turned around where possible, parked and went for a wander...... Today is the much the same, 'we are going the the beach beach'.... Same routine.......tickets, water, bus, bus, screaming (by me Sarah), sunbed, swimming (paddling by me!) sunbed, lunch, vino, sunbed, swimming, snoozing, bus, bus..... Upon return we pack, eat and Anna our lovely host arrives to say Arriverderci... We tell her we have enjoyed our time enormously and the village, the fresh produce and people have been friendly and generous and we will return. She...

So a few nice days of weather ahead and we decide to find the nearest decent beach. We get set for the 9:30 bus, water purchased from the local shop and bus tickets from the newsagents ... 45 minutes later as we disembark at the station we see another bus parked loading with locals packed for a day at the seaside so we followed and jumped aboard ( luckily we had our return tickets to use....
