The day started the same as any other winter day...covers pulled back ver our heads, swearing we would not get out of bed unless someone else got up to out the heater on first! After struggles with the snooze button we finally got up wrapped ourselves in warm clothes and tucked the monopoly board under our arm, with the mission to visit every street on it...stations included!

We got off our first bus and couldn't get past the freeze in the breeze this was definitely the coldest day we had experienced in the UK....As we found each street we posed with board and land card...yes we got a few stares but most people put their heads down, firstly because the wind was so icy it was probably easier to walk like that but also because they thought we were trying to sell something! Sailing past Kings Crossed...we hit the other side of the board...at Pall Mall we were starting to really feel the cold! We managed to hold on to Northumberland Ave, but then boarded the bus to go home....it was pitch black and freezing...Mayfair would have to wait!

As we left Inner London the sight that we were to see is one that will stay with me for life. Snow was not just falling on the streets...it was crashing down! Now I know that us Aussies are sometimes laughed at for getting excited over the snow but when everyone else on the bus was reacting in the same way I knew that this was something special! Buses were paasing up dressed up like choc tops cars were losing their colour and all becoming white...this is what I had waiting to see for a year now! It was truely amazing.

We leave the bus and the snow is pushing up over our shoes...our street sign covered. We sit at our window all night...this is too beautiful to leave!

Finally we head to bed as the snow is slowing down and we have to work tomorrow......6am my alarm goes off. I go over to the front window to see how the snow has melted over night....I can't see out the window????? We are offically snowed in. Check my mobile no call from school so I must get ready to venture out in it!!!

At 6:30am a phone call - NO SCHOOL! SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I run outside and throw myself into the white blanket that catches my fall and I don't come in to well after lunch this is beautiful!
