Brighton - is not so bright today. In fact it is white with rain as we pull our hoodies up and seek shelter in a cafe.
So what to do in Brighton when the weather is like this???? Sealife came to our rescue as we were short on pennies but had our Merlin card on hand. The baby sting rays were the highlight, they looked like they had been put through a pink x-ray machine and came out looking like that forever. They jumped up and down like little kids wanting to come out of the water.
After Sea Life the weather dried up a little so it was off to eat fish n' chips on the pebbles....but this experience was destroyed....but the pebbles to say the least but also because our F&C were cold and no-one there seemed to care or want to do anything about it :(
So we started the walk along the famous pier and what do you think it started to rain again...so we sheltered in the amusement centre and it wasn't very amusing when I spent all my pocket-money trying to win a soft toy from the machine...mind you I did get it with a few pennies to spare...just!
So back out into the weather we went to find the Helter Skelter was closed due to adverse weather conditions.....NO s*** they were adverse but why close my favourite ride????? Dam O&H legislation these days!
So it was off to find some dinner of cold - yes COLD again soup and only slightly warmer pasta and then back on the bus.
Maybe if the sun had been out I would have like Brighton more...but I really do think it is popular in the UK becuase it offers a beach within 2 hours of London and not much more.... sorry Brighton not my fave!
