Spent about 3 days looking round Phnom Penh in the sun (over 32degrees). We saw the killing fields and genocide museum which were really sobering. Very scary to think only 30years ago people were capable of such things (and that some of them may actually still be alive here) We tried to go round the royal palace but they wouldn't let us in wearing a sarong over our shoulders and neck (despite the fact we had more covered than some people in their t-shirts) There was no logic, as we've been wearing the same into temples, so we didn't bother to go back. We were glad to hear others had the same problem. We took the bus to Siem Reap this morning and are off to Angkor Wat for the next few days, starting with sunrise at 430am tomorrow! (It had better not be cloudy!)
