I was nearly sick on a bus from the Cameron Highlands! It was soooo windy. The bus was absolute luxury so I had to hold it in...being sick would have been too embarrassing but it was touch and go!
Arrived in KL, our hotel is right in the middle of chinatown so surrounded by crazy stalls/food and obviously chinese people. Went to Merdeka Square in the middle of the beautiful colonial district and saw the famous cricket ground right in the middle of the capital city! The British used to play cricket on it (obviously) then it became the site of independence when Malaysia declared independence in 1967 (I think thats right!) The tallest flag pole in the world lives there. Also visited the National Museum, and saw a v amusing pic of maggie thatcher, as our Head of State. Nicky our guide took us for dinner in chinatown at a street vendors, great chicken and rice but I'm dubious about it all really!
Difficult to find clubs on a Sunday night but we managed to get drunk at the hotel watching my Super Ex Girlfriend then got the monorail to the city centre. The Petronas Towers (which are on the top left of the pictrure) are the tallest twin towers in the world and are amazing at night all lit up, especially after half a bottle of vodka! Club was good, loads of R n B and the Brazilian Grand Prix kept me occupied, except the men here think they can grope you and I nearly punched a realld old guy after his 5th assault! Left the boys and took sarah home when she fell off the stage :-)
Today has been fantastic, lots more sightseeing to KL Menara which is the 4th tallest observation tower in the world. The city looks amazing. Had a v weird experience with an indian family..a guy said photo to me so naturally I assumed he wanted me to take their pics, so I said yes. He started telling me he was from India so I said I was from England which got them all really excited. People here are obsessed with my eyes. Had a vicious foot massage yesterday and the masseuse took a photo of me...v strange. Anyway then I had to have pictures taken with every member of this enprmous family, shaking hands with the men, holding hands with the women and hugging the children! The moment was also caught on video! V embarrassing as my group were just watching wetting themselves.
Went to the National Monument, the Petronas Towers again, the Selanger factory and topshop! Highlight was definately KL Menara, it's incredible. I love this city. Anyway off to Maccies now for something other then rice (bet you never thought I'd say that) Love me xxxx
