Hi All, Today we are in Katherine - shopping! We heard this was the best place to get some authentic merchandise, so we popped into town and had a look. Unfortunately neither of us could buy a didgeridoo as they were all the really big ones (!), but we did manage to get a few things to remind us of the trip. Darwin tomorrow, and finally handing the "wicked" van back in. We are both desperate to give it back now and stay in a proper bed, with our own space and p...

Alice is really nice! Much more modern that we thought, not as clean as we would like, but really nice all the same. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and just spent the rest of the day by the pool and then did a camel ride at sunset. Sunday we got up and went to the reptile park and looked at the largest collection of venemous snakes in Oz, then went on to Desert Park to have a look at some more creepy crawlies and then a bird of prey show. Very good, but finish...

Well we found this rock in the middle of nowhere... We arrived last night and went down the pub (surprize, surprize..), then this morning we went to the Olgas and did a 6 km walk to the view point which was absolutely stunning. This afternoon we did the 10km base walk around Ayers Rock, which was just plain tiring! We then went and watched the sunset from the viewpoint and had a drink (again, surprize, surprize...). Having a great time - wish you were here...!...
