Dear all, We made it to Canberra... There are no Koalas here but we couldn't find a photo of this place for the postcard, so we thought this was good enough!! We have been here for the past 4 days now and are actually leaving tonight on the the night bus towards Melbourne for our final week. Canberra has been really good. We have done the whole tourist thing by bus and visited most of the places we should have, plus some we shouldn't!! We picked the right week to come here, Summernats has been on over the weekend. Basicly an ENOURMOUS 'street' car show where ALL ozzie males (including the squaddies from Darwin) come for 3 days to get drunk, look at cars and generally let their hair down...nice!! I (Hannah), went to the show on Saturday with a few guys from our dorm (not a place for a girl to go on her own, so I took male backup!), but La stayed in as she was feeling really rough that day. I had an amazing day, really good fun (if you like that type of thing!)!! The rest of the time we have just been hanging out, which is an art that we seem to have perfected over the past 3 months!!
