We arrived in Kaiteriteri last night and found our way to the Kimi Ora Spa, where we are staying. We spent this morning exploring the beautiful grounds of this place—the nature is abundant and the consciousness with how it is laid out is superb. All aspects have been carefully planned and wonderfully executed.Lovely dining room, incredible and intricate trails through the woods, the aquatic area with indoor/outdoor pool and each chalet has a wonderful view of the Sea.We are on the very top of an A framed home and the view is spectacular. It is very isolated here and the sounds of the birds and the cicadas is ever present—nice! The wee town of Kaiteriteri is really just a beautiful beach with a couple of campgrounds and restauraunts. We went to the beach this afternoon, it was not too warm, so I (withmy thinned blood)declined to go into the Sea—Debbie, on the other hand, was very brave and in she went! This area is very tidal and the power of the tide was incredible.People come to the beach just to ride the current and it was amazing to watch the force with which they were carried out (it was not dangerous—just very cool).Me—I walked the beach, contemplating life and looking for treasures--I found some wee purple nautilus shells, driftwood and some very small abalone shells.Tomorrow we will take a boat up the coast into the Abel Tasman National Park.Hopefully, we will be able to connect and send more blogs and photos.
