Well I am sitting in my favourite pub having walked down along the seafront. It has been snowing all day and settling nicely. There were a few slips but I did not end up on my arse. I walked past the theatre that I saw "a Christmas Carol" in last night and past the pier. I was not alone as many people were out enjoying the snow. England tends to panic at the first sign of snow and 5 cms is enough to close Heathrow. But I love it. It makes the world quiet as it dampens the noise. Now here in the pub I have the overwhelming warmth that tingles my hands and face as I sit near the fire. There are a few regulars and a couple playing Gin Rummy, Trish, the owner is behind the bar and I am enjoying a cloudy cider. Why people ask me if I would leave all this to return to the heat of Australia I don't know.
