Katharine I think you have really made a good start, belonging to Rock Climbing Clubs, winning the chutney making competition etc! Well done, and I think your flat looks super. If you go to Battle, go up Caldbec Hill, when you get to a little clapboard single storey cottage on the left, (where my cousin lived!) go up the hill immediately beyond it to the Mill, and there is a wonderful view over the weald. Also, the field of Blood so called because it is where Harold's fatal arrow met its mark, and English History took a major turn! Anyway, well done, and I am glad you are settling in.
