ok so we've had a pretty eventful and yet lazy couple of days really. our day spent travelling to singapore and then bali was a long one, and worst of all whilst we were in the aorport (for 7 hours might i add) tilly lost/had stolen her phone. so we spent the majority of the time there trying to find it, obviously she was absolutely gutted. however our flight boarded and there was nothing else we could to about it.

we arrived in bali then at 00.05 and after a long palava of buying a visa and goign through customs and whatever else we managed to go get our luggage, with the unwanted help of two (very sweet) balinese men. no matter how much we insisted we were fine they carried our bags outside and then asked for some english money! the only pounds i had on me was a fiver so i gave them that and then they wanted to help us to find a taxi, i said no thank you and we swiftly grabbed our bags (well as swiflty as you can move our 15stone bloody rucksacks) and i found a taxi rank and off we went. i was really angry at the time because i shouldve known what was going to happen but i was so flustered after the fuss getting off the plane i dont think either of us were in a state of mind to work it out. anyway we got out of anymore problems and got to our hotel safeand sound.

our hotel is LUSH! its like a little tropical paradise village, hee hee, the restaurant were we have had breakfast (once because we are normally still asleep) over looks the pool and then the beach! its fab! ten steps out of the restaurant and ur on the most beautiful private beach! fab fab fab. plus our room is lovely with very efficient air conditioning....great appreciated at night! the weather is weird here, from about 7 the sun is up and its boiling hot but around about 1pm the sun seems to fade and its just warm and then the temperature stays the same throughout the day into the night and until the next morning. so we've done alot of chilling, a bit of sunbathing when we get up in time and generally just havin a chill out. and ordering a lot of room service (for some reason its cheaper than the restaurant and the foods lush!) AND the cocktails here are huge! everything they do for u in this hotel they go all out and nothing is too much trouble.

yesterday i had a bit of a moment after lying on the beach for a while we decided to pop back to the room to get some waterand have a little cool off. and on the very short walk back i collapsed....i know typical lauren being a mong lol. anyways one of the hotel men wanted to carry me back to my room! thats how nice they are, im throwing up and he wanted to carry me! ha! can u tell we're not in the uk or what! despite the lovely offer i declined (i was at the time feeling pretty ropey and dressed in a not so secure bikini, i drunk some water and stumbled back to the room as quickly as possible!) by this time tilly thought i had malaria and was looking for a thermometer but after id had a lie down and a cool shower i felt better and we rekoned i just hadnt drunk enough! what a fuss i caused lol.

anyway today we are off to the benoa harbour to get a boat to a tiny little island called nusa lembongan where we most likely will be staying in a hut on the beach so should be something to remember! will try and fill you in asap though im dubious about the hut having internet access you never know! wish us luck :S
