Phew!!!....
Just arrived in Broome after a hectic eleven days or so. Here for two days so time to relax for a little while.
Almost constant travelling; regular early morning rises (anything between 5 - 7am); basic accommodation in dormitory-style hostels or camping and prepare-yourself-meals.
Have been abseiling; quad-biking on beach and over sand dunes; hill-walking and up and down rock-strewn gorges. Have also waded through flowing streams and done a bit of rock-climbing, searching for handholds/crevices to inch along the rock-face in areas where the water is too deep to wade through.
This is a full-on; hands-on experience (literally, I'm in Team 2 of the cooking/washing-up rota).......my comfort zone is nowhere to be found!
The sunsets, sunrises and bright, full moons are stunning; the skies at the moment are cloudless and brilliantly blue. The views from above and below the gorges are awesome as is the terrain we travel through.
The mornings are very chilly/cold; the afternoons are warm/hot and the evenings/nights are freezing....... However, it became hotter the nearer we got to Broome, the half-way point (!!) to our final destination of Darwin (where the journey continues.....). Here In Broome most of the group have just left to go their separate ways whilst the rest of us will soon meet some new fellow travellers and a new tour guide.
All photos are taken in or around: Monkey Mia; Turquoise Bay and Coral Bay on the Ningaloo Coast; Kalbarri National Park; Karijini National Park.... as well as a few photos taken in between.
Now, all I have to do is get from Broome to Darwin.......

Ian L Sounds like you are having a great time. How hot is it there? I guess you are going to have to spend another winter working to pay for you adventure
logan Life was a bed of roses in that hostel Aaron..we caught up... We had those beers... Here's to the next time! There's a billabong in every corner of the desert.... Just hop on a passing kangaroo... Believe it or not... It was absolutely freezing at times... But here in Bangkok and near the end, it just the opposite.. Home in a couple of days and reality is starting to bite!!! Shifts...hmmmm...what are they again?
