Pushkar was the kind of place where travellers get to and then stop for months. it has a really relaxed atmosphere a bit like Rishikesh and is also a place of pilgramage for Hindus who come here to bathe in the holy lake and visit the only Bhramin Temple in India. Throughout the trip we have visited lots of temples and found Hinduism to a be a really nice peaceful religion. It is amazing how many of the things people believe in England have their roots in this religion such as yoga, meditation, horoscopes, birth stones, palm reading etc.
We did visit the temple in Pushkar but spent most of our time there relaxing. The hotel had a lovely rooftop restaurant with a swinging chair and the food was excellent especially the Bhati which was to all intents and purposes a meat and potato pie uhmmmm.
One poor girl at our hotel had been attacked by dogs the night before. They had circled her and she had to fight them off with her bag but she had got bitten so had to go to the hospital for her rabies jabs.
After chilling out for a while in Pushkar we headed to Udaipur...
