Back to Cairns and Gilligans after Cape Trib and all I have done is drink and be ill! We got picked up by the tour guide at 7.25am right outside our hostel. The Raging Thunder coach dropped us right outside Gilligans hostel which is situated in the centre of Cairns. I had never seen pictures of it before but it's known to be THE hostel to stay in... Literally couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into reception, the place is HUGE. We spent Australia Day travelling, so once we arrived at the Mission. Beach bus terminal, we were looking forward to chilling out. The hostel - Jackaroo - was a 15 minute shuttle bus journey away. Happy Australia Day!!!! Well, I'm sat on a bus, I'm just off a ferry.... So it could be happier haha. The last greyhound took us from Airlie to Townsville ferry terminal and from there we had to check in and board the ferry which would take you over to Magnetic Island.
