It finaly arrived!! We had been looking forward to the Rugby World Cup for months and had put in a lot of planing for it!!

For the opening ceremony we went down to the Auckland PArty Zone which was a huge Marquee set up on the Waterfront. It was a Friday night and we were heading to New Plymouth on the Saturday for our first game against USA.

We went to New PLymouth with SJ, Mariner, Robyn and Pat. Long drive down which we began to hate and raining all weekend. Also not a great game and we only scraped a win so we were ahappy to get back to Auckland with this one out of the way.

The following week was the big one - Australia in Eden Park. We were living quite close so we had a bit of a get together in the Apt. Cumins , Clare, Barrett and few more came over for food and drinks before we went to Eden Park. The game was simply amazing and we got the famous win!!

Rotorua was the next weekend and this game was preety much straight forward as expected.

The next game was Italy in Duneding which the start of our trip!! We flew in Queenstown on the Fridaymorning and went to Dunedin on the Saturday for the game. A fantastic game which secured us a quarter final against Italy in Dunedin. From Dunedin we drove up the coast of the South Island going to Foxs Glacier and heading to Nelson / Blenheim before catching the ferry across to Wellington. We went to a food and wine festival in Belheim with the Ballincollig lads which was a good way to end the week in the South Island. When we got over to Wellingotn we cuaght up with our friends again and got set for the big QF. Extremely disappointing result which bought an end to our trip unfortunatley. We did go th ethe fianl which was agreat occasion but just a shame Ireland coundlt go further this time round.

The experience of the World Cup was incredible. Great nights out with some great expereiences.
