Well it's not been long since my last entry so not got all that much to say....

We had a day on the truck yesterday and drove to Salta via some really impressive scenery. Bumped into a classic car rally when they were stopped for a break, walked to a canyon and got to share their string orchestra and champers - pretty awesome acoustics in the canyon!

And today we had a group outing to the local hospital! Kerry (the tour leader) got bitten by a crazy big dog in the campsite a few days ago and she has to have an injection every day for 7 days to prevent rabies etc., Kris has toothache, I have a stomach bug thing and Naty is our translator! I got away with some antibiotics but Kris had his whole tooth hollowed out, pus drained out and now he's got to have 13 injections in the next 12 hours. Ouch poor boy! We head to Bolivia tomorrow but will leave Kerry and Kris behind to finish their medical work because no one wants to risk anything like that in Bolivia! The hospital was pretty interesting enough here! Blood dripped on the floor, dirty, no privacy and even a cat wandering about! The doctor was nice though and didn't seem to get frustrated that I couldn't speak spanish - Naty was in the dentists with Kris so left me with a piece of paper with my symptoms written on! All's well now though.

It's our last night camping tonight for 2 weeks and we had planned a southern hemisphere vs northern hemisphere drinking contest but I'm not so sure that'll happen now!!
