OK well after several days living in a luxury room with air con (well luxury if you ignore the damp and the bugs crawling everywhere!!) I am heading back to Phi Phi...I hope! Its been an interesting few days on Phuket, myself and Christal managed to navigate the local buses to take us to Rawai beach and go over to Coral beach, but the weather was naff and then on the return we found out the local buses had stopped so had to pay for a tuk tuk back. however the day ended well as we ventured to the local markets for a cheap dinner...the only catch is you don't know exactly what it is you are eating...or if it will blow your head off!! hee hee! We then tried to find Pat's hotel at Bang Tao Beach, and after being dropped off by the local bus in the middle of nowhere and walking a few miles in the heat we gave up and collapsed on the sand, but our luck continued as Christel was stung by a jelly fish! Yet again though the day improved as we found a dim sum restaurant and an amazing ice cream palour to induldge ourselves in lots of chocolate icecream! The next day, and what was supposed to be Christal's final day in Thailand also started the wrong way as her bus did not turn up to take her to Malaysia and so she was stuck with me another night! But I went off to meet Patty & Brian at the Laguna Resort and spent the afternoon chilling at the pool and drinking g&ts, then we enjoyed an amazing buffet at the Sheraton where they had real bread and real butter and amazing desserts...simple things eh?! So thanks Pat & Brian, I had a lovely time! And so now I'm just killing time waiting for my mini van, which I hope will turn up as I accidently booked it for yesterday and had to change it but i am not sure they understood...hmm...we'll see! Right so i'm on my own for the first time since I started this trip, and its pretty daunting but also exciting! Thats it for now.... :-) xxx
