This is the second sea day in 3 days. We just may kill each other before today is done. We find them boring even though there is a to. Of things to do if you want. Unfortunately not many of the. Are of interest to us. They have lectures, movies, demonstrations (one of today’s is fruit & vegetable carving), arts & crafts, shopping events, line dancing, bingo and so on. Not really our cup of tea.
So we slept in today. After breakfast we attended 2 lectures - one on St. Petersburg and 1 on how to speed up your metabolism. I swear we’ve gained a pound a day since starting our vacation. I can’t believe it as we’ve probably walked at least 10 kilometers a day. Oh the joys of aging!
Again it is a cold and foggy day and everyone is staying inside. We had planned to have a hot tub but it’s dismal out there.
We went for lunch and I had sushi and a salad. I was afraid to eat anything after the lecture on metabolism. We walked around the shops and came back to the room so I could work on my blog and Vic could nap.
We caught a great singer at the atrium while sipping a cocktail and then we “enjoyed” a couple of glasses of cheap champagne at the Captains Champagne waterfall.
It’s formal attire tonight but we decided not to bring formal wear this trip as we didn’t have room in our luggage with the bulky clothes we had to bring for the weather. So we went to the Italian restaurant (not the one that costs extra)and had mediocre pizza.
There was another show in the atrium and we watched that and a dance competition with 6 cruisers. They really get into it.
Looking forward to seeing Tallinn, Estonia tomorrow.
