Ok so now we are in the big (or not so really) NEW ZEALAND!

We arrived at 4am on Tuesday after loosing a day when we crossed the international date line. Very strange, basically the 6th Sept 2010 never happened for us. Mindblowing!!!!!

We spent the day overspending in Auckland and walking around in the rain, yes rain, haven't seen any for months! Quite refreshing really. We also stumbled upon "FOOD ALLEY", after eating pretty dire food for three months this was like walking through the pearly gates themselves. The place is ramajammed full from top to bottom with Asian food stalls from Japanese to Chinese to Malay to Indonesian..........on top of that, no meal is more than 5 quid.

The following day we got picked up about 7am by Kiwi Experience (the big green bus that will be our home for the next 5 weeks!). We headed up to the Bay of Islands (Paihia) for a night with our new mates. Its pretty beautiful but again, it rained. We had fish and chips then walked up to a viewpoint, however, we missed the turning and ended up trespassing and getting thrown off someones private property ha ha, good work eh? After this we accidentally ended up getting drunk........oops! Blame the weather. This morning the sun had come out so we all had a long walk down the beach playing in the rock pools like 10 year old boys, lots of fun. Our bus brought us back to Auckland this afternoon and we are now planning our next visit to Food Alley for our 7 year anniversary meal, aaaaah!

Tomorrow we've found a free city tour which we've booked onto and then the day after we get picked up and taken to a place on the West coast called Mercury Bay, supposed to have the best beaches in NZ so should be pretty cool.
