After nearly six years, tomorrow I head off on my next adventure...to Vietnam. The focus of this journey is food...surprise, surprise. Wherever possible I'm participating in tours involving food...market tours, cooking classes and meals in locals' homes...can't wait. I'm also doing a bicycle tour through the countryside and look forward to doing this sans helmet. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as I eat my way around this country.

I hadn't thought to set my alarm for this morning, but remember waking up thinking "I should check what the time is." until the next time I woke up and thought "I should check what the time is." This must have gone on for hours until eventually I did check the time…it was 4:30 IN THE AFTERNOON!!! My great plan to set my watch to Australian time had gone out the window; I was back to square one. Obviously I couldn't sleep that night and returned to work on Tue...

As I said goodbye to Europe, I decided to set my watch back to Australian time and try to sleep according to what the time was in Australia. With thirty seven hours of travel and stopover time I hoped this might help to avoid some jetlag, as I was due back at work on Tuesday. Thankfully the stopovers at Bangkok and Taipai were uneventful and I arrived safely in Brisbane on time at 8:30am. As I was going through customs I noticed a Border Security crew filming...

Well it's finally arrived, the the day I begin my journey to see Hayley...oh, and Europe while I'm at it. My backpack's packed and I'm ready to go.
