HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Thank you for all our lovely messages over Christmas and New Year it has been great to hear from you!!
Well Christmas Eve... we went with a group of our friends on a harbour cruise, which took us right round the opera house and underneath the bridge and into Darling harbour which was cool! Although we couldnt drink too much as we had booked into the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb for christmas morning....which we would get breathalised on before doing so had to make sure we didnt have to many tins! (otherwise we might fall off!!)
So we started the bridge climb at 11.05 on christmas morning after opening all our cards and presents from santa...which he did very well to find us! The climb was amazing although a little scary for me (Liz) as im not a massive lover of heights but the guy who took our group was very good and i managed to get to the top without crying!!! We had a fab view right over to the blue mountains.
Once back on the ground we made our way to Cougee Beach where we had a lovely barbie with our friends, we had burgers and sausages...although no shrimps as they are too expensive for us poor travellers!!
On Boxing Day it was the massive Sydney Hobart yatcht race although we didnt make it up intime to see them crossing the start line so we went to Bondi for afternoon and chilled out on the beach. During Christmas and New Year we didnt really do all that much, we had a good few nights out and did a fair bit of sitting on the beach but apart from that not much else! Ah guess what though???? We did go to Palm Beach where they film Home and Away!!! How cool! We saw the surf club and the famous fencing that runs along the beach!! I ran down to the beach from the surf club trying to look well hot although i didnt look anymore attractive than Alf Stuart!!! Ha ha....but it was good fun none the less!!!
For new Year we went to the harbour to watch the fireworks with our chums, the display was absolutly amazing! The harbour was filled with yatcht and the crowds were massive. we were down there for about 12 noon so we just sat and chilled out on the grass and had a marathon picnic until midnight!
For New years the resolutions have gone well for sticking to a healthy diet...itys broken already as we went to Cougee for Fish 'n' Chips!!! They were very yummie to!!! Oh well ill start again tomorrow!!!
Well hope you all had a lovely christmas and New Year whatever you were doing!!
Lots of love and Best Wishes for 2007! Just think we are getting home sometime this year!!!
