The Reunion!
Our train journey back to Delhi was surprisingly nice, busy as we'd expected but with free water and a free curry on board we were happy.
Upon our arrival back at Delhi we were met by a funny little bloke who took Liz's bag and walked us to his predictably rubbish car and drove us to the guesthouse that the tourist office guys had arrange for us. When we got there all the tourist office guys were in the sitting room relaxing with a few drinks and smoking, a lot!
We chatted to them and another couple of travellers about our recent escapades and also about theirs and then retired to bed as we needed to be up early for the final part of the trip - our flight to Mumbai to stay in the most luxurious place we would have set foot in, in over 8 months courtesy of Hugh, Lizzy's dad.
We are thoroughly looking forward to a bit of guaranteed comfort and maybe a Bollywood film at the cinema!
Having been very ready to get home to some normality, with only 3 days until we go home and having just scratched the surface of India we feel slightly reinvigorated and wish we had longer to explore the south of India. Initially India is a very overwhelming place but we are growing quite fond of it and all its amazing quirks.
